I'm posting this to find out if there are any trucking companies that anyone knows of that will hire a driver with a 2 year and 7 month old dui? Besides a moving company that is.

I know there are many that will hire a driver after 3 years has passed.

I made a big mistake and learned from it. Not looking to get yelled at or negative feedback....just looking for any answers.

    Thanks,
    whtline

Buddy I don't wanna discourage you but think its like 5 yrs ,7 yrs, or 10yrs. If I can remember from applications I filled out try to fill out a couple different company applications it will tell you there before you fill it out or ask you on the application. Or its listed on some companies websites under qualifications. Or just call a recruiter from each one. Each company is different

None. 5 years is the minimum for DUI. Some go to 7 and 10 and some even say never. Truckin2eat is spot on. Don't get your hopes up. And don't drink and drive. Ever.

I was thinking some said none wasn't sure. Isn't an open container the same amount of wait time. Or is it the 5 years I was thinking of?

If your DUI occurred within the past 5 to10 years, my insurance company would not allow me to hire you.

I don't think so. Open container isn't the same according to the police unless its a CMV

Have you tried a farmer or maybe working for an Owner-Op on a 1099?? You have a hole to dig out of,but maybe post a 'job wanted' description on www.truckpaper.com. Might work.

I have a speeding from Feb of 2007, 78 in a 65, 13 over, and it still hurts me. It drops off my record this Febuary 2014. I didnt get my cdl untill April of 2011. Most places I've talked with want a 10 year history of your dmv.
