Key word right there is dedicated. when you run dedicated your gross goes down as well as your per mile average. I run the system and yes while it is supposedly they dispatch instead of you picking the load I have found that by picking up the phone you do get some say in the matter. I am always on phone talking to the terminal in the area I am headed to and with central dispatch. Im not just going to sit around and wait on them or for my dispatcher out of home terminal to send an email. I pick up the phone and do it myself

130k..already.. I will be calling them back today

So I am curious. How did you make 130k in six months? My guy is with Miller and been asking for work since he's been sitting for days at a time lately. It's been so slow. My guy I believe grossed a little more than90K in 6-7 months.
-
The reason he's doing so good is that there is high paying loads out of his home terminal and good loads going back. As of last friday, I've grossed 150k. It can be done here. Just learn not to complain too much, but don't let them run over you either.

I wish I could stay out. #### near everything coming out of Memphis is dedicated. I told dispatch to call me when I could get out in the system. I'll just take a mini vacation until the

Im giving them to the end of today to find one here then if not I might start looking to deadhead somewhere. I had another miller driver last night tell me they deadheaded him from Birmingham Alabama to Charleston sc to load for counce tn. things will pick back up though after labor day for the Christmas rush

any news in channelview tx? terminal i want jumping to them some one khows about lease purchase there?
-
You'll need to call the corporate office in Jackson to speak to someone about the lease purchase. As far as Channelview, there's lots of freight going and coming. Some pays well and some not so much, but the important thing is it's always steady. If you're planning on doing a lease purchase, please get all the information you can and make sure it's a good fit before you let them run your credit.
