well they changed my truck number today. it went from 38720 to 18111. sent in this morning my Macro 31 and macro 39, received a message back asking my name and truck number, then was hit with 3 loads. picking up at rail yard in Austell, GA going to Sears in Pendergrass, GA. Drop & hook there at sears then run a load to Electrolux in Anderson, SC. to do a drop and hook then run back to the rail yard in Austell, GA. I responded back and told them that they must have the wrong information because im suppose to be on the van division being dispatched out of Memphis. well after fighting with them back and forth for acouple hours I finally called terminal manager in Atlanta and got it all straightened out. had to call Memphis and then they offered me a dedicated run out of Pendergrass, Ga on the sears account. and they offered the OTR with the Home Depot out of Whitestown, IN. after talking with them I went with the Home Depot running 48 and that's when they told me I would have to change my truck numbers. so now im in process of peeling old numbers off truck and putting new numbers on and changing my lease paperwork and all other paperwork!!! hoping to get rolling tomorrow morning if everything is lined up on their part!!

As an o/o you go home when you want. I choose not to go home that often. I have flown from Memphis to NYC for time off before. I've gone to a friend house instead of going "home" . I am single with no kids and no one to answer too. Otr works for me. But if I did have a reason to go home I could get there when every I want since there is a Home Depot I'm almost every town. We have a terminal I'm Atlanta and from what I understand the guys there can go home every night if they choose. Its all up to you and what works for you. Remember you are the boss!

It happens some times. That's why I questioned the Sears I'm your other post. And said I've done it from Mississippi but that it was container. And the 38 in your truck number is for road. The 18 was the Pendergrass yard.
-
Whitey can I ask why you deferred the dedicated Sears account out of Pendergrass?
-
To be honest he will get more miles and money running otr. -
What does "more" mean? And how much time are spending in the northeast on those Home depot loads, and in particular Long Island? I'm not seeing anything on their website that says they pay tolls. How's that work?
-
We have ez pass, do not go to ny or north as we do not have the hut stickers we also do not go to cali since we don't have wings on trailers but we have terminals there. If the toll road doesn't take ezpass we pay toll and send in reciepts for money back. We can take 25 $ a day mon thru fri for exp or advances if needed. Scales are paid by fuel cards. Hope this helps.

Oh and more meaning about 500-1200 more miles a week.

Yes that's what I thought but I'm going OTR and they made me change from 38 to 18

Wndwlkr101.... When I spoke with my contact today up in Memphis I was offered the dedicated Sears account in Pendergrass, but it's a 250 mile radius and home everyday. Freight on that account can be up and down and when it's slow you get stuck running local pulling containers and to be honest I don't need something local like that with a W900L.... If I had a smaller truck I would try it but with a W9 I would basically be working for fuel!!
