I have to come visit you guys one of those days when you are near me in the Tacoma area. I live in Gig Harbor WA. Looks like Bill must be in the real estate business too. Since all the F2F couples are moving to TN.![]()

My son and his family (including our 2 1/2 grandkids) live in Chattanooga. Combine that with all the freight that originates within 125 miles and no State income tax...it was kind of a no-brainer. I grew up in Bothell WA and lived in Snohomish for years. I also used to own property in Gig Harbor right above Fox Island. Seattle will always be home and we will be putting a boat on Lake Union next year to spend summers there.vikingswen and mp4694330 Thank this. -
Hey, hey, shorter than me here and buying a boat already...Damit!!!!
-
i'm not moving to tennessee. or anywhere east for that matter.
it's TOO DANG HUMID over there.vikingswen Thanks this. -
Which is why we will be spending summers in Seattle. July and August are the only crappy months in Tennessee. We just got tired of giving 6% of our income to the State of Colorado when we only spend about 20 days a year there.vikingswen and Panhandle flash Thank this.

i don't remember what tennessee is like. but when i was doing the training thing. she had a dedicated to spartanburg sc. and that state SUCKED in october.
that humidity seems to also effect your truck. last month when i was out there. i thought i had a steer bearing going out. it was bad. haven't had the noise out here with the dry air.
see what happens next week though. i'm not accepting any loads that don't take me east. and keep me east. -
Well, after I do this delievery, will start moving into my new truck. Its a new cascadia. Don't know what I'm going to do with all my stuff yet. Its a lot smaller than my present cornbinder. Am trying to get them to take the passenger seat out for me, to help out. They don't know tho, how much trouble that will be. He got the upgraded seats that are really comfortable, plus they have heat and air in them. Woo hoo. Not sure why TK, installed the inverter, under the bunk, with no way to get an extension cord to it. Hmmmm, guess a hole will have to be drilled. Plan to buy a real fridge and see if I can mount my nuker on top of it. That presumes I get the seat out of there.
Gonna be stinkin hot for this move!!!!!!!vikingswen Thanks this. -
Okay. You got my interest with that line. Is it a 2 1/2 year old grand kid or is there a bun in the oven?
Also, good luck on the move and you guys picked the better part of TN. I lived in Memphis when I first came to the US after living in Northern British Columbia. Talk about a culture shock and the weather really sucked most days of the year. Lake Union on a boat in July and August that is just crazy talk since life could not get much better than that. Congratulations for having life figured out and living it to the fullest.
NoCoCraig and Panhandle flash Thank this. -
An almost 5 year old grandson, a 2 year old granddaughter and another granddaughter due in November. And as I always say "It's a great day to be Craig". Speaking of British Columbia, two of my all time favorite vacations. Canoeing for ten days in Wells Gray Provincial Park on Clearwater and Azure Lakes and a Houseboat trip on Shuswap Lake out of Salmon Arm. Amazing scenery.
Panhandle flash Thanks this.
