I use express truck tax online 2nd year now $8.95 print out in less than 24 hours.

Yeah you sure can't drive anywhere for $8.95 takes about 5 minutes to fill out an online form. I did mine a few weeks ago and had a copy to print off in less than 10 minutes.

 

If I just got tags in April 2013 and pd in April do I have to file/pay now or wait til July next year. And the lady here in MD told me the same thing, "You know you can file this online". But is it free online? All I see is 3rd parties offering to do it for a fee.

 

To answer my own question is yes. The initial payment is partial start-up. i still have to pay the 550 for 2013-2014 now.

 

I hope I get to fill one of those fancy forms out next year

 

Just did mine. I use expresstrucktax.com. Real quick if all the info is the same as last year with them.

 

I love doing everything online. But you have to admire the government where they have set the bar so low on service that people will pay for the privilege OF NOT seeing them in person. Any other service looks at the online side as a way of saving the company money.
