Thankfully, Rob now only has to wait for orientation to start and then he will be in the mix! :)

Really strange weather you had there. Very rare to see such weather in that area! Glad you and everyone else is doing ok now. :)

Today was day 2 of orientation. We had a great day with the safety manager with plenty of good conversation. I really like the safety manager Tom here at Sealy! Tomorrow will be more time with HR doing benefits, then the afternoon with the AP department. :)

Glad to hear your little buddy Corey is doing well and back to school! :)

Thank you. Our company sent 46 drivers there. I understand we did very well in the 4 axle, tanker and sleeper class.

What does Walmart operate for a tank truck?

No idea. I believe when you sign up you can participate in any division regardless of what you actually haul. We do van, reefers, and doubles (pups & turnpike). The company sent out a fleet message about it and those classes were the ones we participated in.

With our Monsoons you can get microbursts that can be very destructive. For instance, this storm produced high winds and strong rain. There were a lot of downed trees and tree branches.

Our Safety Manager, Steve, is also a great guy. He is the one who did my pre-trip and test drive.

Off to see what truck I have. Mondays................. ahhhhhh.................. LOL (let the yawning commence). :)

Going in for the second interview/job offer next week. Have a few questions I need to ask to seal the deal, but I have a feeling I will like the answers. Thanks for all the insight on the process and what it is like to work for Walmart.

It is even better once you make it through and into orientation. Then you find out so much more about what makes driving for Walmart such a great job. Best wishes. :)
