anyone wear contact lenses while driving OTR? If so how do you handle the washing your hands before putting them in or out if you're not always near a restroom? Extended wear is not really an option for me. Just wondering as I hate wearing glasses.

I don't wear contacts but grab a container of hand gel sanitizer. I go nowhere without it and always have a spare.pattyj Thanks this.

yep those would both work.

Behind my sleeper on deck plate I have a 10 gallon spray tank from TSC just a simple pvc line out with faucet. Made an aluminum cover with hinge lid for filling. Its just gravity fed but its nice to have just to wash up with. Yes I wear contact lenses not its only purpose but works well for the occasion

It's scary what baby wipes can accomplish. They can take just about any stain out of clothes.

My youngest "baby" is 11, and I still carry those things with me everywhere. They're fairly inexpensive, are great for handwashing, stain removal, spot cleaning and all kinds of other things.
To the OP, I don't drive a truck, but I wear my contacts several days before I take them out. I do put a few drops of regular saline solution in my eyes (not contact cleaner, just the plain stuff) in the mornings if I've slept in them. -
wore out what year is you pete. about a 77-79? cant see the suspension system to know what year for sure. bought a brand new 79 V-8 cat ,5x4 trans, and factory a/c. paid about 72,000 for it brand new. maybe closer to 73000 cant remember for sure b safe out there

I also use baby wipes, "huggies" brand is the best for greased up hands and fresh coffee spills. Also I clean my hands with them before pulling my lenses out and in thw morning before putting them in. Make sure you dont have extra debri on your fingers. Dry with a clean towel before touching the contacts.
I kept losing glasses all over the country, so now I dont have to deal with the crap. Just order from 1800 contacts or online (same name) the monthly throw away and use a new pair every month. Good Luck -
lots of good replies, thanks guys. when I was in Army I did similar to "wore out" but not as fancy. LOL had a 5 gal can of water to use. I definitely wear the disposable ones so if I happen to lose or mess one up it's not the end of the world.
