Infosaur I believe they are. I nearly pleaded with them saying that had neither that car any longer and the plates it had on it at the time of the ticket were Florida plates. Guess ill be calling them to follow up. They did threaten to report it to a credit agency. That was when I just told them flat no way I'm paying. I felt like they were trying to rob me and then blackmail me.

Plenty of companies to study. If you go to a CDL school there are 100's of options. You mentioned the Carolinas; three good team companies there running coast-to-coast are :

    WLA, Inc.
    Cook Trucking Company, Inc.
    Hardy Brothers Inc.

Always ignore "experience required", and apply anyway. Many companies hire new CDL grads, but don't advertise it.

Try to sift through the negative stuff on this forum & keep in mind, your goal & what it takes to get there. The route to entering the trucking profession is not a one size fits all solution.

I wanted to ask this question again. The reason for the question is that we will probably sell our home in Florida. Of course the big reason we will do that is to save money. The other reason is we would want to stay in hotels or at families homes across the contry. We have family in Texas, Ohio, North Carolina and California where we could stay. We would then have no physical address. Having said all that, which location is the best to be hired? Our goal would be to have our mail sent to family in Texas. Does any of this cause an issue when being hired?

Not sure about being hired, but also consider 'income tax'. LINK. That can also equal a chunk of change :)

If you maintain some kind of Fl. residence(we r 2) status you will have no state income tax as u prob. already know. You have the right to "general delivery" where you dont even need a PO box. However u will need to pick a town. Maybe Lake City up on I10. This way u dont have to come all the way down into south Fl. to check your mail. Also a po box is not that much money and is a more "acceptable" addy.
