No One can hear me :(

    From what I read so far......you need to have tunable-tip antennas, so you can lengthen or shorten (with an Allen wrench) to bring down the swr. You probably have automatic swr adjusting built into your cb such as a GALAXY.

    Hearing and transmitting are two different things. You can hear on a coat hanger, but it may only transmit 100 feet. TurboT has given you some excellent information. But since it did work and now it doesn't, tells me something broke......? You can't always tell when a fiberglass antenna is broken by just looking at it. Just my 2 cents........I would put a meter on it.

    My suggestion would be to find a CB radio shop with a good reputation and have them thoroughly check your whole set up. They'll find your problem and I'm sure for a fee they will fix it for you.
