Yet to get out of Uncle Walleys, one MUST get on a parkway.....

Yes it is only for 1/4 mile, but one still has to use the parkway.

Hope all are doing well. I'm in San Diego with a couple days off with my daughter and her family. Been running pretty hard these last few weeks, so this time off is appreciated.
For the newcommers out there...keep on trucking, as the saying goes. It takes time to accomplish, it takes repetitive efforts to learn good habits and if you stick with it, you'll do well.
You don't get to the top of the hill by sitting at the bottom complaining about how steep it is, how mean everyone is by not helping. You get there by putting one foot in front of the other and applying effort!
All that being said, I'll be hitting the road again come tuesday. Don't know where, but whatever the load, I'll enjoy it!
    Stay well everyone.

    Corporal_Clegg and KMac Thank this.

I was looking for a rest area close to my delivery in the morning. Found one on the map, plugged it in to my GPS, and found it (after going thru city streets - 1st clue something was amiss. Even passed a cop, but he didn't stop me). So I get there, and the sign says no trucks. Get my truck in there anyway, ask someone for directions to the nearest travel plaza, and he tells me to get on the Parkway and take the next exit. (Apparently I wasn't the first truck he has seen in there). Luckily, the exit was only a mile away, but I did go thru a toll booth. Now I am very happy to be running LTL for a local company in Oregon. I only want to go back to New York in a four wheeler.

Hey Emul, I'm supposed to get a load out of So Cal on Friday, headed to Texas. I'll let you know if it comes thru. May be going to the DFW area.

So construction....i was supposed to go left, went right, got snarky comments about how stevens doesnt require their drivers to be able to read to work for them. I went all girl and said to my trainer how cool it was that they were talkin bout me!!!!

To be frank tho, i didnt see the sign to go left until it wasnt safe to do so. So there!

Drove almost 600 miles today so made up the trailer repair time from friday. Tomorrow....HUNTS POINT yeah!!!

And i hate the roads in indiana. Just sayin.
