Stevens Transport Aviary . . cont'

Had to have it replaced, then lost half the tread off one of our wonderful recap drives. Finally got a repower in Hazelton, PA tonight, but I have to go to Glendale for tomorrow at 0800. I don't usually go into the city, but I was told it was out a bit further. We will see.

 

Anyone been to Hansel and Gretle? Looking on Google maps and I can't see how you get into the place. Safety said turn in and stop and go check in, but I don't see an entrance. Unless it's 79th pl, which looks like an alley.

Glendale is out of the city..LOL... It is part of Queens... Hope you had fun with that alley dock, designed for box trucks.

 

I'm glad I don't have to worry about NYC anymore.

 

It actually wasn't that bad. You go down 79th pl and there is a turn to the left, go straight, stop, then back into it. You park alongside one of two walls and wait to be told to back into the one working door they have for big trucks. It's a pull up and over then straight in. My problem was the guy with the later appt had the product they wanted more, so I got pushed back. Now I have a nice little Hershey load down to Greenville, SC. Any bets I'll be headed for a Smithfield load?

 

People make it out to be worse than it is. Don't get me wrong... I would prefer to run I10 through Arizona and New Mexico any day... but I have had tighter spots in Jersey and Los Angeles than I have had in New York.

Anyone else delivered to Rocker Bros. in Inglewood? That is a nice ride through a residential neighborhood on weight restricted streets just of get around to their dock, and then of course when you bump the dock, your cab is still I'm the street even though you have ####ed it at an angle.

 

So I emptied out in Cheyanne and figured ok go by the house and off load a few things to make room for visitors on the truck. Went to my KW dealer here and asked em to adjust clutch and check out MiEL light and why my trash can was burning more than usuall lately. Phone call this morning, needs 2 knock sensors.... dunno when they gonna be in. Guess I can build up my sleep bank lol. I will be in Dallas the week of the 15th for whatever the trainer class consists of. Lord grant me the strength..........

 

My delivery is tonight, so I am killing time doing laundry, showering etc. Checked my shower balance here at the flying J.... 1.5... WTF? How do you take half a shower? How did I earn half a shower? LOL
