Unloaded in Green River, WY then ran the access road to the Little America for the evening. Got their garage to order my fan hub and they are going to run into Rock Springs to pick it up...or Peterbilt is delivering. Going to cost the boss $1100 for a Pete reman with a 2 year warranty. It was the best deal between a new unit and rebuilding the old one without a warranty. I never knew fan hubs were so expensive.

*edit* I"m using Little America's wifi for FREE :)

Everything is more expensive in BFE. Not to mention truck stop mark up. I bet it's cheaper in Cheyenne.

I wish you had asked I probly could have named 4 shops in Rock Springs that would do that for half what LA is gonna charge.

What's the typical price? I have no idea. If it's worth it I can still go to Rock Springs.

Your kinda hooped on parts prices but call Macy's, Jacks Truck and equipment (they are a freightliner dealer but give me quality service at a decent price.) marshals truck repair is another. Let me call my mechanic and ask if he wants a crack at it and what he thinks its worth. Find out what the truck stops going to charge for labor.

LA was a little cheaper then the Peterbilt dealer. LA is charging me 1.5 hours labor, but I think the Pete dealer has the only fan hub in town.

I would still call Jacks in the morning and get a quote they are about the cheapest labor in SW WY. Even tho I run my own shop they are who I farm my work out to.
