04 Columbia freightshaker!
This is the third time this year I have to replace my air dryer. Is there a reason for this? Im also changing the air governor as well ( original not reman ) Is there something else I should look for that is causing this?
Thank you in Advance!

What is the failure? What brand of dryer do you have?
-
are you getting alot of oil discharge out of the dryer? could be that the Air Compressor is worn out oil will kill the insides of an Air Dryer
-
Air dryer, compressor, governor all at the same time. Stop waising time screwing around and get back to making money.

Its Bendix brand. Today I replaced it and replaced the air governor. While I had to do a bypass to get the truck rolling, when installing the air dryer, I did see a lot of dirt with water. No oil though. Even the people at the freightshaker dealership were giving me hard time over replacing the air dryer under warranty.
The failure is always the same, it will just let all air out from the purge valve. -
may be compressor is old and throws oil in air system, so air dryer goes bad. check it and rebuild if necessery

you need to replace unloader valve and o rings/gaskets.full of carbon build up.very common problem with series 60 (how did i know engine?lol!)bendix kits #5008557 unloader/#5008558 gaskets.when apart clean very well.good luck.

Does the air dryer purge every 20-30 seconds, because it isn't supposed to. Probably wearing out prematurely. Something else is likely wrong. QualityTruck is reading my mind, good advice.
