I would get calls that I later found out were from JB. I also get emails from them!

I get calls (from "unknown" numbers) stating I can make so much money, etc. I ask several times who they are recruiting for and they don't answer me. Finally, they say JB Hunt. I always calmly state that I do not wish to work for JB Hunt, but thanks anyway. I even respond to emails like that...So far it has worked.

I got a call from a recruiter last week saying they were looking for a "few good drivers." . but I was told it was the Cranbury Project. He told me if the H.D. account wasn't available would I take the C&S job out of Bethlehem PA D.C until the H.D. job opens. I thought the Phila. site was closed.

Can anybody enlighten me on this before I commit to anything.

    Thank You.:biggrin_25524:

    1. I do know for a fact that those are jobs JBHT carried while I worked there, I used to recruit for em.

Call the General Line and talk to a different recruiter about it...see if he says the same thing or something different. And watch out if your recruiter doesn't contact you for a few days, it may mean the job was filled and he's hoping you show up and go for OTR, we had a few sneaky rats like that.

If you are tired of the JB Hunt calls, simply tell them that as soon as you get the assault charges dropped for attacking your previous dispatcher, you'll be more than happy to talk with them.:violent1:

Stopped the calls I was getting almost over night.

Although they have caught on to the assault charge story, and called me a few months ago trying to recruit again, I now tell them I must get through my drug rehabilitation program before I'm able to leave the county I live in.

Seems to be working well so far.:smt038

LET ME TELL YOU HOW ARROGANT J.B. HUNT RECURTERS ARE. LAST WEEK STILL DOWN WITH THE FLU AND ASLEEP, I WAS WOKE UP BY A PHONE CALL WANTING ME AS A DRIVER.
I DON'T REMEMBER ALL THE CONVERSATION BUT WAS POLITE AND SAID THAT I WOULD CALL BACK THE NEXT DAY.
FEELING MUCH BETTER THE NEXT DAY, I DECIDED TO DRIVE AND MY WIFE CALLED ME WITH A MESSAGE AND PHONE NUMBER. I CALLED THE NUMBER AND IT WAS J.B. HUNT RECURITER TELLING ME MY ORENTATION STARTED ON MONDAY. THEN I REMEMBERED THE CONVERSATION AND TOLD THE PERSON THAT I WOULD CALL HIM IF I MADE A DESSISION AND WENT ON THAT I NEVER TOLD HIM I WOULD GO TO WORK FOR JB HUNT. ( NEVER IS A UNDERSTATMENT ).
I GOT BACK THE NEXT MORNING E-MAILED AND CALLED J.B. HUNT AND USED WORDS THAT A SEASONED MARINE WOULD HAVE TO LOOK UP.
JB, YOUR COMPANY:dmage: HAS HIT A NEW LOW.

Thank you for all of your fedback. I have made a decision to get out of trucking. (Driving) It has not much to do with the recruiters or companies. I just got my Haz-Mat Recert yesterday in the mail and it will cost me almost $100 to get it. (U.S. Gov't. bull)

Also I can make more money turning wrenches than driving. Also I'll keep my wife happy by being home normal hours.

Thank you agian for all of your feedback.:biggrin_2551::biggrin_2555:

    Wow, just a 100?

Was going to cost me near $300. However I refused to re-cert as you did and don't blame you one #### bit.

DMV officer asked why I chose to drop my haz-mat, I simply told them it wasn't fair that I pay for the actions of others. Nor is it fair to expect the company I work for to pay.

I suppose they really think someone with ill-intent will go get a haz-mat endorsement before they go blow up something? Total nonsense!!:biggrin_25513:

Boy, I feel so much safer now.

Either way you look at it, even if your company says they will pay for it, you end up paying. **It will always be deferred to the working man.**

Yep. Gas tankers can and do get stolen.

Of course. That's the way the world works. Didn't you know? We certainly can't have the company taking a hit in their bottom line.
