ONTARIO - Two people were injured in a collision involving a tractor-trailer and two other vehicles Friday afternoon. Ontario firefighters and California Highway Patrol officers responded to calls of a traffic collision on the eastbound 10 Freeway at the Mountain Avenue off-ramp at 2:39 p.m., said fire Capt. Mike Pelletier.
Firefighters found a semi truck that had smashed through a concrete barrier and ended up over the side near the off-ramp, partially on top of a Kia sedan.
A minivan was also involved, Pelletier said.
CHP Officer Gene Carrillo said it appears the big rig driver lost control of his truck when he was unable to stop for slowing Friday afternoon traffic.
The big-rig driver was in the third lane when the collision occurred. The Kia and the minivan were in the slow lane to his right, Carrillo said.
"He lost control and took the Kia with him," he said.
The big-rig was hauling a load of 44,000 pounds of paper products, Carrillo said.
Sal Diaz, the big-rig driver, said he is lucky to be alive.
Blood could be seen along the line of Diaz's lower lip. He was unaware if his mouth had been injured during the collision, though he did complain of pain to his left side.
"I was scared like I've never been scared in my life," Diaz said as he stood on the side of the road clutching paperwork in one hand and a cell phone in the other.

Diaz was scared? What about the poor sap in the Kia... They were probably letting loose pounds of toxins from their bowels.

LOL... sorry, I was just watching one of those stupid infomercials about colon cleansing. You know... that Pepto-Bismol and Ex-lax mixture that makes you poop out ten pounds of black stuff that you think have been sitting inside you for years... LMAO

Sorry to say it doesn't surprise me. I made the mistake of going to a swift orientation once. Just watching them play bumper trucks in their own terminal made me leave.
Also seeing the state of their equipment on the road. He probably lost his steering column or an A-frame.
