    Was wondering if anyone could give me some info on driving jobs in western montana. recently visited there and loved the place, the people,pace of life and the country. just was wondering what types of driving jobs was all there for local/regional type driving and the pay scale. thanks for any info

    I got a house for sell there 20 miles south of Whitehall. I wish I could live there but all my kids and grandkids are in Florida, so Mama says no. Watkins Shepherd is based out of Missoula. I wasn't in the trucking world when we purchased that house so I'm not much help on the job front. The style of life out there is amazingly slow. Which I love. People are actually friendly and "You Bet" is their versatile response to most things.

    Lots of Cattle and Farming. May have to beat the bushes on that end of the biz. You got oil going on in Eastern Montana and the Dakotas.

    -Jones Brothers - Missoula based (smaller) company. Their lot looks like quite impressive with brand new Kenworths and Petes. I was looking into that company as they take newbies.
    Warning: they are a Flat bed only and run a lot of western Canada as well.
