i have the app droidtruckerstop. has all the scales and big chain truckstops. i know when to stay in the right lane and pay attention to the signs.

Do NOT ask me how I know this. BTW fine in Nebraska used to be $200...and no I didn't get caught. My friend in his infinite wisdom did not think the words "ALL PICKUPS PULLING TRAILERS MUST WEIGH" applied to him in his pickup pulling a car trailer. He got popped for passing the scale and for being 3500lbs over gross. 3 ton plates dont go to far on a heavy half ton truck plus a 24ft car trailer. I believe he got about $1000 worth of lessons.

 

I was getting an overweight ticket at the Palm Coast scales on 1-95 in Florida and they had just chased down a straight truck for bypassing the scales. It was costing him $250.00 and 3 points. Some years back, I knew this driver that bypassed the CT scales on 1-84 coming west, $400!

 

What trucking company do you drive for?

 

Apparently nothing here at the scales around Chicago. I have seen numerous drivers do it.
