First off, Interstate is not a crappy Co, it is a Trucking Co, your hands are on the wheel so you are in charge,,,, it's up to you to make sure your FM knows when you want to be home, when you are ready to get out of the Truck for your time off, put the time and date in the Qcom when you will return. If you read the previous threads on here the over all rating of Interstate is good, yes there are some that complain, I always say they are the 10%ers, no matter what,,,,,, there is 10% that just don't get it and get crappy loads, slow freight, low miles but, they are the ones sitting in the Drivers Lounge in a Truck Stop telling you how the world should be.

Good luck and stay in charge.

Can you run just CA/AZ/NV out of the Fontana terminal? If so what is their pay scale?

while I wouldnt consider interstate a 'crappy' company, it is the trucking industry, so I wouldn't ever say you are promised that you wont leave the 11 western.... just ask the group of guys from the kansas city regional fleet that ended up on the west coast lol
and just because you're a driver and you have the wheel doesn't mean you always make the rules. you're still a company driver, you accept things because they tell you if you just take this load, the next one will be better, or get you where you need to go.... after a few loads like that you just stop and try taking charge and declining loads, but then you end up being labeled as a "10%er" cause you finally stood up for yourself lol. either way like I said, thats a big part of the industry, not just Interstate. overall they were ok, different folks different strokes

If you read my post, there was nothing in there about declining loads or other things you are asked to do,,,,, it was about TAH (time at home) if you talk to your FM, you can get the time needed, it's not a random thing, it's an important thing.

This is my 4th company (3rd otr). Every once in a while you do have to put your foot down and say "no" (so far with all 4 companies). I'm tired, roads are bad, upset stomach today, etc. Now when I do say "no", I do my best to work with them (change pu/del, relay etc). I've found that as long as you're part of the solution instead of just a part of the problem, then there's been no negative repercussion's.

I liked the company.. they run ya if you want. I just had some family problems and had to leave
the company. I complained a little but it was mainly because I was told I would run 5 specific states but wound up in the east a lot. That was my biggest complaint along with my dm was always gone.. but the fill in dm ran my butt off. If you wanna run and get home for at least a day a week..interstate is good.

Time for an unscheduled 34.... truck developed an electrical problem near home. That's ok, all told it was a 2800 mile week.
