Sure, if you want to drive into Chicago every day and deal with the train-yards.

Ya, it was a Ralph Moyle driver that took the wheel-chair bound guy for a wild 5 mile ride stuck to his grill about 6 months ago.

Well first of all, you screwed yourself. The LOAD did not belong to you, it did NOT belong to Swift. It belonged to Dollar General and when you took it upon yourself to HOLD IT FOR RANSOM (that is what you did), YOU cost Dollar General $, YOU cost Swift money. You are lucky to get a dime.
You are lucky you weren't arrested and charged with theft of an Interstate Shipment.
It is STUNTS like that, that make it hard on HONEST people.
Good luck in the rest of your life, because something tells me that you are the type to pull this kind of stunt in another "civilian" occupation.

wow, no I delivered the load, I was there long before it would have been late, I was at the gate, and the guard told me he wont let me drop the load. said to go to the truck stop about 2miles down the road and get a hold of swift so they can fax me the bill's. they never faxed them and when they finally did, 2 days later... the fax's were so crappy I couldn't read them. so they had me drop the trailer way out in bfe, at some truck shop drop yard.

the load I didn't deliver, I told them to pick it up, I didn't make my self clear, they wanted me to drive another 200 miles away from home as I told them i was done with them at that point. they told me ill have to pay for my own way home once i dropped the truck off, or get a ride from someone. so I stopped at a truck stop, and sent them a msg to have someone pick up the truck, and load and finish it. so I guess you can say what i did was abandon it, although I didn't make that decision until after they sent me a fax on there policies for detention pay.

as far as i am concerned I could care less if swift lost accounts over it. I don't expect anyone to work for free, and I simply wont work for free. I wont drive a truck again. I much more prefer to sleep in my own bed at night. And I do have alot more respect for those who can do it. And if you want more honest drivers, get more honest driving company's first. my time on the road I was told by several people how to keep 2 log books, was told its the only way to make any kind of decent money on the road, and this happened at almost every truck stop I went to, several customers drop lots, and even by people i know. so don't blame me for not having honest truckers out there, when its the company's that pay them that make them go along the dark route.
