As said maybe don't be in such a hurry. Find out what is included, allowed, encouraged.
IF you get a GPS get one with truck routes, restrictions, etc and LIFETIME updates. (cords included) My first GPS they wanted $50 for cord to update it :0
Find truck, figure where room, what type of power available... You can buy 12v stuff to make soup in cup, cool a small cooler. BUT a hard wired, or inverter will do much better job. Just make sure allowed.

Yea that was kinda my thought. Oh well with all the junk on the radio now days most don't think they're important. Mine's on all the time unless I'm on my way home, or trying to catch a few winks. The GPS isn't a necessity, that's what phone numbers, and a map is for. Seems like GPS' cause more headache than what they're worth. From the horror stories I've heard. My girlfriend says I need one, nope I've got a map and a phone number. and pen and pad of paper for directions. check out roaddawg.com they've got some things for drivers. google is your friend I suppose in this situation. Whatever you do don't buy it at a truckstop if you can help it.

 

i know its just most shippers and receivers use them an you can still get some info while in traffic in case some four wheelers ask
