Grim, that 26 is to START. get a decent bump at 6 months and another at a year. Also those miles seem lowballed to me.But if you can live with that amount for a little bit( I believe you would get more than that per week) we arent a bad company to start with.

What kind of time out are you thinking of? Home weekly, every two weeks, etc.

Regional position I applied for says out 5-6 days, restart would be at home. Why I am asking about average pay, I have been pretty much offered a job at FedEx for a contractor who says I will make near 1k a week, got my shirt in the mail today. Also have been offered a local job that pays $14 an hour driving a 26' box truck 40 hours a week. I like the growth potential with Schneider, like going tanker or intermodel but starting out i'm worried about paying all my bills.

well, then go with the fedex gig. You may just like it. Otherwise get the experience in(year or so) and then come to SNI if you want. You'll start at a higher rate then.

Unless Schneider pays by area, I didn't think they did, starting rate for me was .29 out of Gary. Consistent pay and homenoe daily i'd go Fedex

I would be teaming with FedEx making $.20 a mile even when I am in sleeper berth. Its 100% drop and hook to FedEx ground terminals only. Schneider would have me starting out making $.26 a mile per diem but after short training I would get my own truck, not having to share a space.

So the question to team and make more money, or go solo and make less.

I started out higher than that in 1999! I started at .32 cents per mile. Current pay is ridiculous and an insult.

And that requires some long, hard thought. Do you want to share a space smaller than a shower stall (not quite) with another person? Can you actually be in the same vehicle with someone almost 24/7? It's hard enough doing that during training, but afterwards? I am a team driver, but my co-pilot is my hubby. I did team with a friend for a short time years ago, and there is no way I would do that again with anyone other than my hubby.

Its been a while but I did not go with FedEx, decided I could not do teams. I'm suppose to start orientation sometime in the middle of October with Schneider. When I was speaking to my recruiter last week, they told me Schneider is working on raising the pay scale too.
