if the load does not require Placards u are clear to Haul it i Do belive and u do not have to Follow hazmat routes

Generally NO.. if there is a hazmat listed on the shipping papers and you have no hazmat endorsement then you cannot haul it. You can haul hazardous materials if they are in smaller packages (consumer commodity) and magically turn into non hazardous cargo because they are in smaller individual containers.. Yeah.. that makes no sense.
A tanker full of chemicals is hazmat.. a trailer full of boxes of small bottles of the same chemical is now magically transformed into a load that can be hauled... -
What is the product that is being shipped and how much quantity is it?
There are some which depending on the product and weight or quantity don't need Placards and you can drive it without a Hazmat endorsement. -
I think you would feel better if you understood the rules that apply to your employer and to you before you accept the load. Start here:
http://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/safety-security/hazmat/complyhmregs.htm
And the state may have restrictions you need to know about too. -
From the VA CDL manual, page 37:
-
I think it depends on the class and weight of the hazardous material. Class 1 hazmat requires placards for any amount and class 2 needs placards for anything over 1001 lbs.
-
Table 2 materials that are less than 1001 lbs can be hauled without an endorsement and class 9 designated "NA" materials (Not "UN" can also be hauled without an endorsement no matter what the quantity. Everything else requires an endorsement.

so when no placards required, i dont have to follow hazmat routes?, can go thru tunnels?

All HAZMAT rules must still be followed. That is why the DOT mandatories company HAZMAT training every 2 years. You should have a certificate from your employer.
