While "holding freight hostage", as it has been put, is initially an appealing plan, I wouldn't do it. And don't think there aren't a bunch of us who haven't at least considered doing such a thing over the years.

But there's a chain of command for a reason. Don't screw yourself by being hasty. Do the right thing, even if Swift doesn't.

So you don't think good companies will call Swift huh? They go thru the same hireing process the starter companies do.

Good companies only give dates of employment and job title.... Nothing more. Yentaring it up on dac is for losers . Most real companies know this. But that's off topic lol..

You have to know exactly what has been going on to be able to judge. The load could have been delivered by another driver. When you make a deal with me you don't back out or trick me into doing something... Like I said it's not Swift but my DM... I have no worries about another job and I would do the same thing over again if it happens again.

I should have left back in March but my DM went somewhere else and things where fine til until she returned. I have followed the stupid handbook to the T and nothing is working on getting me away from her. You don't tell me you're gonna do something then turn around and go back on your word. That just ain't gonna work with me. I don't give a #### who you are. Nothing gonna go on my DAC regarding anything because technically I have not done anything but stand up to them. Really it does not matter to me because I'm tired of the ########

I told them if they don't put that load or something close to it back on me then I will bring it back to the terminal. Plain simple as that! I'm not gonna sit here and play games with her anymore. Already been pre hired at numerous companies just gotta make the decision on whats best for me. Getting away from the Mega carriers seems to be the better choice.

Ive been in and out of the trucking since since 1992 and been around the block a few times to know what is right and what is wrong. All I want is her to do her job that's it and she ain't doing that because my miles have dropped since she has returned

No basically all I was gonna do is turn around take the truck back to terminal and quit that is all. I don't play games and I don't expect the planners to do it either. This has happened way too many times and at some point you gotta stand your ground and just say no.

After reading this, and reading that his dispatcher is female, I think I might know where the problem is.
