Good luck to you! You are doing what we wish we could do tomorrow!:biggrin_25514:
Where are you going to school, how long for and how much is it costing you? Sorry if you have told others in another thread, but my wife and I are saving for a down payment, or will do sponsored in the summer. Be curious to know where the husband\wife in your group are goind to work for?
    Thanks in advance.

Hi Gary, the school here is in Arden NC and its $5500.00 which is more than others but its close to me so its worth it. The husband wife do not know where they are going yet. I don't think anyone does so far. Also I could go just on weekends so I did not have to quit my current job it is 10 weekends we go from 7-5:30 with 30 min lunch. So far I like it the instructor is good and next weekend the ones that get there permits will start to drive we will get 220 hours of driving time. Also the school has a placement program and will help you find a job by the time you finish school you tell them what kind of driving you want to do and were and they help you.

Update on school. Yesterday and today we spent all day outside in the field practiceing backing up in a streight line then back up into a place you have to turn into and doing right hand turns without knocking over the barrels, for the backing exercises the barrels where just far enough apart to get the trailer into with about a 1/2 ft on each side it was hard but by the end of the day I felt like I was getting the hang of it. I only killed one barrel and that was the first time I did the right turn exercise. I did not see the barrel in the mirrors so I thought I had passed it I didn't realize it was under the trailer. LOL It was alot of fun and teachers and students alike all had a good time learning from each others mistakes. Most of the students got to actually go out on the real road and train but me and 2 others were in the field all day because we did not get our permits. I would have gotten mine but when I went for the DOT physical the dr said I had to get a release signed by my nurosurgon before he would pass me. And of course my surgon just happened to be out of the office all last week so I had to wait until this week. I really look forward to next week when I will be able to go on the real road and start learning how to double shift and how to drive with 10 speeds
