Well, this month we should find out if they're making any major changes. If anyone's in WVC after the 19th of this month, check and see if there's Swift office staff in the WVC building. I'd heard from one of our drivers that Swift is moving out of their SLC terminal and into ours because it's bigger. And with that, no one knows exactly what's going to happen. So, we might know sooner rather than later.

They'll slowly take over everything good we have, saying look what we did, and then start asking us why we can't do better with their old crap. I use to do this to my little brother all the time!scottied67 Thanks this.

No apology needed... We agree!passion4polishing Thanks this.

Well, I'm in WVC, which I don't usually mind, but this time I have no preset and precious few hours left in my 70. I fear I may be stuck here for a 34. Again usually not TOO bad, but I got here at 0700 which means 12 wasted hours if I do have to sit, due to our glorious new rules. Maybe I should bill the govt for detention?
Lady K Thanks this. -
Well, it's really not my personality to brag about myself, but I'm going to anyway. Also, this is no knock on the rest of you. I'm sure you are all good drivers, but I'm the best. It took me by total surprise today when I found out. Got a msg today that told me so. It said I was the best driver on the road and set the standard for others. That kind of makes me feel bad about all the 4-wheelers I called terrible names all day. Heck, I shouldn't do that...I don't even know their mothers.
Arkansas Frost and Lady K Thank this. -
Swift owns 100% of Trans-Mex, a Nuevo Laredo, Mexico-based carrier. Swift offers border-crossing services at all major Mexican border crossings and also maintains a presence in every Canadian province , at 1 time they were actually hiring drivers in Ontario Canada , same time WERNER and SNI opened up terminals there. Whatever happened they did not get as involved as the other 2 , SNI has a big terminal / yard , WERRNER shares with someone else and the ADs for Canadian drivers vanished.

I got that message on MY qualcomm. Yours must have been a mistake.
Lady K and Arkansas Frost Thank this. -
MY message was personalized. Had my name in it! I took a picture but for the life of me can't figure out how to upload it to the forum...
lol
Lots of time between today's drop and tomorrows load, so I grabbed a motel room here in Duncan SC. Definitely enjoying the air conditioner lol... and watching football on the "big screen" (32 inch tv) instead of my laptop. Also must point out the epic mexican pizza I got from a local pizza joint.
Anyone been pulled into a scale-house for the brake inspection yet???
unloader -
No inspections for us (yet) ... Heading east on 40 ... AZ, NM, TX ... Not many scales open on that route
unloader Thanks this. -
No, not yet. Didn't pass a single open scale today. But, I noticed last week I got red-lighted at nearly every one. No issues but it sucked pulling into all of 'em.
