well after doing some research and not finding very much and taking the job here is my experience so far....orientation was one day at there west Chester oh faculity..payed for that day and payed mileage there and back, live near flint and .it was a 600 mile round trip in a full size truck. Then it was onto a three day ride along/drive with a mentor to learn the procedures of paper work and the elogs system works (people net) work. that went great i rode with an great driver out of the flint yard. and the third day i got my truck..a well used peterbilt..which later developed an egr problem..but they said ill be getting a different truck soon. the flint drivers are know as "referral drivers"as we pull gm freight in a line haul operation..but what really made my decision to come drive for dli was not one the driver i spoke too had nothing bad to say and they all have been there for x number of years...it pays quite well and the insurance and benefits are great.as i am younger driver (25) and i was looking for a long term company. but i am usually home everyday or every other day and when you have to stay out for a night or two they put you up in a hotel. the communication between the driver and anyone within the company is great..it is just a well rounded company all together...lol...if there is any questions or comments just comment on here or send a message and i will be happy to answer any questions..happy trails![]()
