    Smaller operations do. Before we put my dads truck on where it is we looked at the hard data and hub miles. That was off the log books and total miles. High truck at that time was 2.10 low was 1.96 running mile.

    I would still say the data is flawed and the numbers are generous. F2F used to have my miles and revenue on settlements when I plugged in their numbers versus my real miles, which included deadhead back and forth to the house or whatever, their numbers always showed my rate per mile higher than was the case. Companies have flawed info based on computer route miles and suspect logbooks. If you want true numbers you need to find an operator that keeps accurate tabs on everything. And of course everyone's individual outcome will be different. This all beside the main point that those rates are too low. IMO of course. If OP wants to see if he can pull it off he's more than welcome.
