Thanks! So far the experience has been wonderful. I feel like the company really does mean what they say when they invest in their employees, and the training period has really reinforced that for me.

Only 30 hours of training left! Then I will be on my own! I feel like my biggest issue with my job at this point is setting up doubles. I just need to fine-tune my process so that I am comfortable doing it at night.

I train my guys to hook the dolly to the tractor and then place the dolly in front of your light trailer then hook up to your lead trailer back it into the stagged dolly which is in front of your second trailer then hook them all up... It is too hard for a new guy to back your lead into the tail trailer with the dolly attached to the lead

That's how my trainer showed me how to do it, and his reasoning was the same as yours. Heck, sometimes backing that dolly up by itself is pretty hard.

South Beloit, huh? I'm hoping for a few of those myself! As it is I'll probably be running a lot of Chicago runs for the foreseeable future.

Why arent more new drivers talking about places like this/trying to apply if the company pays so well and their emploees are treated so well? seems like the mega carriers get so much attention, after reading a few OD threads im like "Sign me up!!!":yes2557:
