while that maybe what you think but once again not eveyone has had the treatment you have, but again did u stop to think that maybe for all the4 othe3r ppl posting on here at one time melton was the best company to work for until they get fired?
-
I've never sat for 5 days, I've never heard about anyone sitting for 5 days
-
I personally left because the miles were not there. They did treat me good, but i always sat and sat for my next load, then had to boggie to get it there to sit again. I dont sit well if i could be out making money, thats why i had to leave. Now i run legal and make a good check, but havnt had to sit and wait to see what my next load was going to be in over a year now, so that works way better for me.

My experience with Melton really made me regret ever driving for them. The DMs talk down to you like your a child, safety and compliance will jump down your throat over the most ridiculous reasons. They like to threaten your job. My DMs liked to pick and choose her favorite drivers and if you weren't in that category....you are S.O.L. The Ambassadors are a bunch of snitches and look down on the other drivers. THEY PAY WELL BUT ITS NOT WORTH THE CHILDISH AND DEMEANING ANTICS OF THE STAFF AND OTHER DRIVERS.

When I sign on, they paid .36cpm + 40 tarp. When they drop down my pay from .36 to .32cpm and $20 to tarp. I drop them too. and move on.
-
Did your pay drop when the economy did?Alot of companies decreased pay and when the economy does get strong again the low pay will still remain the same.
-
Yes patty, it was recession but back then at .36cpm and 40 to tarp I still consider it very low. The amount of hard work for flatbed should be much higher. Due to because when after less then a month I work there and drop the pay and tarp, I feel like I was lie to. Don't get me wrong. my dm and their staff treat me great. Because I live out here in southern cali. sometime it hard to find load back for home time and they do a good job getting me back. Flatbed job r hard work it a giving and I can haddle it. The pay I can not.
