...This is it in a nut shell...Just go to a local Wal Mart and see the braindeads of the ''new'' generation.Or go watch the circus come into town at a local truck stop..
It was something the government put in the happy meals or the water.Click to expand... -

You are not allowed to be under the influence of that one either when operating a CMV, and if you get pulled over in your 4 wheeler, .04 is all you get. The law applies here as well.landstar8891 said: ↑And if you drink the ''drug'' alcohol.you should not drive a truck neither..Laws or no Laws against it,it is the #1 Killer Drug.It does not take a ''law'' to realize this correct info...I am so glad i never use the drug alcohol..Click to expand...

I have heard that before and have even seen it in an advertisement for a lawyer but can not see a law where it says that since I have a CDL I am bound by the same laws while in my car. It just doesn't make sense that you can pick and choose the laws that apply to a personal vehicle. Since the BAC is .04 then all the other laws should apply also. you would think. So when you go on vacation you need to only drive the hours allowed, show your past driving history, the inspection of the vehicle and so on. I guess I'm just not a believer unless you show me the written law. Please don't get me wrong because I could be wrong but it just makes sense to me that a law like that would be printed in the CDL manuals and not listed as .04 WHILE operating a CMV.Lilbit said: ↑You are not allowed to be under the influence of that one either when operating a CMV, and if you get pulled over in your 4 wheeler, .04 is all you get. Looks like even the FMCSA website isn't clear. You can't be under the influence of alcohol at all, they mention the .04 in a CMV, but they also mention the .04 without specifying. I did find that some states, including Nevada have it as .04 across the board for CDL holders . . . may be a state by state thing . . . states are allowed to have tougher laws, just not looser ones . . . Better off just sticking with a policy of NONE in ANY vehicle to protect the licenseGasHauler said: ↑I have heard that before and have even seen it in an advertisement for a lawyer but can not see a law where it says that since I have a CDL I am bound by the same laws while in my car.
