My brother-in-law works for Monson. He likes working for them. Miles, home time, and bennies all work well for him. He's home every Friday night, and leaves out Sunday evening. Averages around 2500 miles week.

I,ve been looking for a little more info on monson,so finding this post is timley..Im fairly close to their Duluth terminal and everything sounds fair to me.Im a little concerned about finishing school with a cdl and just hitting the road with out going with a trainer . But ,I guess this is the way Monson has done things for a long time and must know what their doing .Their recruiter says they keep new drivers out of Chicago for the 1st 5 mos. ..Comments from drivers?.Snuggs..

Don't worry about Chicago. It's really not as bad as they say, just check the route for low clearances and such. The worst place I've been is Minneapolis. Makes Chicago feel like you're on a back road.

Traffic combined with their weaving ramps that are about 100 feet long with ramp speeds of 25MPH. I think even the bypasses had bypasses.
