The truck i am in right now has no antenna on the right side. I believe it is the music radio antenna. I do have an antenna on the left side which i think is for the cb. I was going to replace the left side one for a better cb antenna. Should i just put the one i am taking off the left side onto the right side? or is there a really good antenna i can get at one of the truck stops?
regular radio antenna

Nobody knows what kind of truck you're talking about.
-
does that matter? they all have antennas this is not a question about a truck it is about what is a good antenna for the radio. I drive an older international 9400i.

Go to any Auto parts store, Wal-Mart, K Mart etc and buy a radio antenna. If it is only due to condition of the mast then you may be able to unscrew and screw one for one. If not it is easy to replace the whole thing. As to using CB antenna's for Radio? I have never tried it, In theory it should work after all a coat hanger will work. But let me answer it this way would you put a Yugo engine in a Ford truck??
samurai Thanks this. -
okay thanks. so i will just get a nicer antenna for the cb and use the one i have for the radio. The person who had the truck before me took the antennas with him to his new truck. so the shop had one laying around and put it on the driver side. the passenger side is wired and mounted it just has no antenna screwed into the hole. Thanks for your help. any recommendations on cb antenna? I just have a cobra 29 cb so nothing fancy.
