Well. I found your movie, but the first thing that stuck out to me, besides the horrible music which I muted, is the truck on the shoulder at 0.57min and you did not move over a lane and just drove right past him. It did not even look like you really tried to slow down. Now that is a big no no to me. I will move over when I see a vehicle on the shoulder or do slow quite a ways down. That is the law and common courtesy, but you have to look way ahead and not just in front of the truck.

As you can see we can all nitpick each others driving style to death. None of us are perfect and we all try to do the best we can. I have run the last four month pretty much between WA and CA and deal with L.A. traffic on every trip. Since I have multiple pick ups and sometimes close to 15 drops in and around L.A. That are about 45.000 mls were I avoided countless accidents, which included wrong way drivers, red light runners and anything else you can imagine or sometimes just wonder what people are thinking or the lack off.

 

We don't know if anyone was on this drivers left.

And that truck was 6 seconds around a blind curve. The driver wasn't even out of the truck, so either he JUST pulled over, or was negligent in not setting out triangles.

How slow would have been acceptable to you? He could have stood on the binders and brought his speed down to a crawl. But just slowing down, you have now created an obstruction IN the traffic lane, around a blind curve, not just on the shoulder.

No one moves over when possible more then I do, but I wouldn't lecture a guy over THAT circumstance in this video. -- Not enough info to make an informed judgement call.

 

I guess my post was a bit short sided and was the result on a little peeing contest we got into on another thread. But like they always say: "What goes around comes around." I just returned the favor. I think it is all good now since we came to a truth without me poking him in the eye.

Good for you for calling me out and watch yourselves while doing your own stunts.

Btw, I hope they nail that dolt for pulling that bs on you. I'm glad you had the camera! I don't like the idea of cams pointed at drivers, but I have to believe forward facing cameras will help more drivers then hurt.
