Many drivers have smart phones now. Whatever you want, there's an app for it!

I love the flashlight app for pre-dawn pre-trips.
Pandora runs all the time I'm in the US (can't afford the data in Canada).
MyDAT screwed up their truck stop locator (imo) sometime over the summer while I was running Canada, so I've been using TruckerPath instead, with mixed results. Thinking about actually paying for AllStays - any opinions on that one?

What apps are you using? Recommendations, warnings?

Which thread is that? I didn't see one other than the one about weigh station maps, and I didn't want to take it too far off topic, but would like a wider discussion of various apps people use.

I agree, they did screw up MyDAT. It is worthless now.

The app thread would be in the electronics section as should this thread.
Maybe the watch dogs will move it for you.

i haven't had a problem with mydat. other then 2 truckstops in the wrong location. but use the address and input google maps. that'll find better then mydat linkiing to google.

i HAVE been seeing a glitch lately. where it takes it's time pulling up the list. can by annoying but it still works. wish it was allowed for tablets though. it won't pull up on my tablet play store. only the phone.

    I have...

    Truckstops and Overnight Parking.
Meh. 2.5 out of 10. Shows only the Home Depots, Walmarts, Lowes and Costco. I don't use it much, if at all.

Truckstops and Overnight Parking. 3 out of 10. If you have the free version and try to zoom in it will just keep popping up ads. Garbage if you need to zoom. Otherwise its OK.

Truckerpath. I think I have then pay version of this. Shows truckstops, weigh stations, low clearance, cat scales, fueling, hotels and rest areas. Zoomable. Settings has places option, search by city or zip, trip planner. 8 out of 10.

Walmart ap. I like this ap and use it often. Hit the store locator function and it pulls up your current location with surrounding stores. Zoom feature. Click on a particular store and you can either get routing to it, instant dialing, basic info about that store etc. 8.5 out of 10.

And of course Google Earth. A 10.
