So i got home last Thursday relaunched this evening. I forgot to go off duty when i went home on Thursday. Got to the truck this afternoon and i was -48 hours of avaible drive time. Weekend dispatch was not happy about fixing that booboo. But they had to cause i needed to get to Dorchester tonight otherwise i couldn't get this load delivered on time.

So ill get up early and secure this funky load. Than boogy over to Dorr mi than over to Ann Arbor mi.

Yup, did all that, minus the married and moving parts, and flipped out on a deserving driver while someone important from marshfield was in earshot.

Hey haven't checked in lately. Just hanging at home getting ready for bed. Double run tonight, usually takes about 12-13 hours with breaks. I see Roehl reefers at our warehouses in Indy and Fort Wayne darn near every other day. Don't recognize anyone though, and besides, day cab drivers don't associate with otr drivers anyway. ;)

Well that sucks, I liked Jim K. Didn't see him that much but he seemed like a decent guy.

I know there are good FMs and not-so-good FMs, but from watching and learning a bit about what they have to manage and put up with during a typical shift, I have a lot of respect for the position. Seems like it would be very difficult to not lose one's temper now and then. I don't know whether I personally could do it.

I agree, I've seen what they have to do. However, it does not change the fact that they really piss me off when it seems that they have an ' I don't care about you' type attitude. This usually seems to happen when my usual fm is being covered, or its nights/weekends. Twice this week I was told to go into Chicago at rush hour times and expected to deliver and pick up on time. Not going to happen, and screw them and their times.

    jeepnut_nh and technoroom Thank this.

Well, technically, you are not recording company operations. A dash cam is recording everyone else's operations around your truck. :biggrin_25525:

Do they violate company policy when they shoot video for the safety meetings?

I'm catching a 34 @ Pilot just across the freeway from the cons in Franklin, KY. I am pretty sure my QC won't even kick me over to driving between here and there.

I can claim layover for this, right? I sent a msg to night dispatch and they replied that I can claim detention, and to talk to my FM Monday morn. But this isn't detention... I have a 11:30am appt. I think I interrupted them smokin something. :biggrin_255:
