c12 head cracked

    I have a 2003 pete with a cat c12.the head cracked on it. Does anybody know what different year models will fit or does it have to be off of a 2003 having trouble finding that year and was just wondering what other year models will fit thanks

    You need the same series engine serial number. There are newer models cylinder heads and you can't mix them up with the old style..

    You should be able to find a head off of either a serial number prefix 2KS C-12 or a MBL C-12 that will work. The 2KS will be from 2000 to 2003 model year trucks. The MBL will be from 2003 to early 2004 model year trucks

    What is the difference between the 2KS and the MBL bridge engines anyway? Is it just an ECM flash for better emissions until the C13 Acert came out? Also are the 3CS and MBJ C10 heads the same?

    Mbl is a 70 pin and has a few updates with the cam followers I believe. They had a low nox tune and a catalytic converter.
