Had a clutch job done and just noticed my collant level is low .. Do they drain coolant to do a clutch job ? I'm thinking maybe transmission cooler but don't know , and if so how much my holding tank is dry

    tganks

I have never seen a radiator lose water during a clutch job. No reason to break a water line, unless maybe heater hose going to sleeper heater got mashed and broken. Maybe removed APU ?Only possibilities I can see.

Some transmissions are water cooled so its possible that you lost some coolant on the clutch job

It's possible, not sure how. If it is water cooled then the cooler is bolted to the top of the transmission, they would unbolt it before removing the transmission.

I filled truck with water and found the leak .. On the front of transmission there are 2 ports and one drains water out constant when I add water or coolant .. I assume its water cooled

There should be a hose hooked to that port.

That has to be a transmission oil cooler that was removed during the clutch replacement. Sometimes you can unbolt and lift up out of the way but not always.

    SPEAKING OF CLUTCH..

I just had mine done 2 days ago and i noticed ''tranny'' fluid on the ground..Any ideas what this may be..??...I showed another driver this leak and he investigated. It is tranny fluid seeping out of top near where the shifter goes into housing...At least thats what it appeared to be...

I am on road so i can not get back to shop till tuesday...
