Push out my nat from mid afternoon yesterday to this morning. Was getting close to hours on my 70, didnt have a preassignment for an hour after my drop, and I was in a town where an old friend lived that I wanted to have dinner with. Five minutes after I change it, I get a preassignment. Picked up early this afternoon and my delivery appt is for 2330 tomorrow. For a 300 mile run? 36 hours wasted? Doesnt seem important enough for the planners to relay it. Getting real tired of sitting on my butt, and making jack #### for spending the weekends away from home. Just kills a decent week. Is anyone else having trouble keeping moving on the weekends?

It was Saturday when I dropped the last load. Was in San Antonio and it just may be a tough area to get out of. My biggest issue is Im at the Dallas oc now still with 24 hrs before my drop in Ft Worth. Not being able to drop this as a relay and beat feet outta here has me frustrated. I sent a msg yesterday when the preassignment showed. They said call this morning. When I did they said the planners where working on making it a relay from Dallas. And to watch m workflow. Get here with no update so I msg again and they say call tomorrow morning. Grrrr!
Btw, the Dallas oc is full as heck! I had to get a bit creative to park. Theres quite a few dropped trailers parked ####eyed and taking up more room than they should be. -

I didn't like Dallas when I went through it last week. it was almost impossible to back a trailer in because there were several trucks parked in the aisles all over the place. It took almost 30 minutes to even get into the darn place and then another 15 to get by the fuel island and then 30 to finally get a spot to dump my relay and grab a MT. The electric fence was weird. The whole place felt like a prison. Glad I didn't have to stay there long. I try to avoid the OCs as much as I can. With as big as SNI is, I was disapointed with how dumpy their terminals are. that I've seen anyway. Been running about 3-400 a day with a few 1-200 days in there. Maybe 2200 a week.It has been really easy. I'm worried about winter though. I do nothing but climb mountains almost every day, on these goat trails they route me on. Averaging low 6 on my MPG. My OOR is a little high too because so many of the roads I have taken have had detours and the thing tells me I'm OOR when I'm just going down the freeway LOL.

I definatly agree the ocs are dumps. Never wouldve thought id rather shower at Pilot! Usually the parking is good though. And parking can be tough in the bigger cities. If i was relaying this load I dont know where Id put it though! Asfor the mileage, I gotta do better than 2200 a week. I had averaged 450 a day since i came out monday. I dont have 450 for yesterday and today combined, thats why I need to get done with this load and run. If I gotta sit around, Id just
assoon do it at home. When Im out I need to run. -
scythe08 Thanks this.

I was offered a $2 raise to stay but not even that could keep me to stay.Last edited by a moderator: Sep 16, 2013
