What do you use to grease a fifth wheel (is it specifically fifth wheel grease?) and do truck stops usually carry it?

I want to just open these questions up! How about some wheel grease or barring grease? I don't think they sell it as "%th Wheel Drease but a general purpose grease, Is your 5th wheel binding up on you? Maybe it has to do with the Swift truck that is parked in 2 spaces that has your vision messed up!.

    baha Thanks this.

Yeah there is products sold as 5th wheel grease. Although, any heavy grease will do the trick. Also, splash a little diesel on the locking jaws in cold weather. Grease tends to get too thick in cold weather.

I like Lucas 5th wheel & slider lube. It doesn't "dry out" as fast as bearing grease and the dry spots are smaller when you get them.

Be careful when storing it as the cap likes to pop off and spill crazy sticky goop all over the place. :tard: I don't trim the tip anymore and just unscrew the whole top and pour some out to apply it. it dosn't take much.
