That's actually a tougher back than trying to stick the trailer in between 2 long nosed Petes. You have noting as a reference. It takes me forever to put it in straight.

There has to be more than one Chicago local. Don't you have the other local's numbers, and talk?

I have a sleeper cab too. Actually, all the northwest locals do. We sometimes get caught out and have to spend a night in the truck. What kind of truck are you in? If you don't have one of the beer trucks, you need to badger your boss until you get one. Those are the International Ultra Lights, and they're ideal for local work if you have to have a sleeper.

Anyone posting in this thread should assume that every word they post is being read by the office staff of the company. Anyone who posts here and thinks otherwise is too dumb to drive. I know someone's going to take offense to that, but enough information is posted here that Central could find out who's posting what, if they wanted to.

It's why I never post my truck number, or where I'm picking up or delivering to, and never have. Not only because I don't want Central on me, but because I'm sure that all kinds of people read this, and not all of them are honorable. If they know you're picking up at a specific place and where you're going, they can work out your most likely route, and where you'll stop. That's an invitation to get your load stolen.

We would note on the bill itself the name of the person you spoke with at the window, and that they refused to break seal... Then do as they requested. You can also (with today's phones) cover your backside even more.. Take a photo of the seal (unbroken) and the bills noted as above, and email those photos to OS&D so if there are any 'claims' you have covered yourself already.

I know I've had at least a dozen showers expire this year. I Hate, Hate, Hate paying for one. Yeah, I don't like sitting here waiting for the next one either. OK, I'm done with my rant. Carry on.

Sounds like you need more miles. I've usually got 3 showers saved up at pilot. My only problem is when I have to stop at loves or ta.

I will second this as well. I was called into the office at Knight over my posting here and I know that SuperSnackBar had the same thing happen to him at Crete. The companies do read this site.
