I've had a few pre plans like that. Had a pre plan out of Fort Worth a couple weeks ago that was 45,720. I went to pick it up and I was 1380 over. Turned around took it back and made them rework it. I'll only run between 300 and 400 pounds over via my APU allowance. Customer fussed a little about it but they made me legal.

 

I would have taken it back..

I think we could prolly haul 45.....not in an Extra Trailer though.

 

I have a pu in Ft. Worth I hope its not the same place as all of you. That would be a mess. I am tired of messes and lack of attention to detail. i had a few days off and set my PTA for 1200, well I had a load picking up at 12 noon. No one factored in I was in South, GA not South ATL which is 4 hours away. I was not aware setting my PTA meant I would be doing a arrival call when my PTA was set to start driving to a pick up at that time.

9/16 1853- missed one load that dropped sunday did not recieve on my check, email sent asking why.


I happen to stop at my address in atlanta in my pov during off time and seen a check stub of recently not the settlement sheet it appears I have made 10k less this year. I hope things improve soon. I can definitely feel the bite with Michelle gone.

on that con agra load that was over,i didn't think we could go back on those loads and I had accepted the preplan.so I ran with it.drop and hook so I really didn't know what trlr it would be loaded in.i've had 45000# loads before in newer trlrs and was good on weight.so u just don't know when the preplan comes in what trlr its loaded on...but my point is,is why is this stuff being put on the drivers?we have enough on our hands as it is.just pass it on to the drivers or FM's and then its their problem after that.

 

I have a 0600 deliver this morning 09/19 in Houston.The preplan I received a couple days ago to grab after this was A/B with pickup at 0700 deliver at 1400 today to El Dorado,AR. That's an 8 hr trip so who's doing any math? I always said Omaha needs to learn to do some math.
I teed off a planner a few days ago when I told them not to call me raising haydees about a message I sent FM. I don't recall planners being supervisors. I told the planner to go thru my FM to get messages to me. Isn't that the rule for us??
Well the El Dorado load was cancelled just before planners quitting time and no load to replace it and they know my home time is to start on 09/20 and I have plans with my parents so I honestly feel that load plan was bogus to send me a message. How could it be anything else. Nothing about it made sense. It was physically impossible to do.I keep scratching my head about what is going on.

 

I'm not sure planners have much control of that Holycow. But even if they do it won't get fixed.

 

For the Extras I usually tell them 43k Max.
Of course that doesn't work with a Drop/Hook.
