Good thing you have your own truck PoundPuppy, because JCT's pet policy is for a dog, 40 pounds or under, no cats! If you were going to lease a truck and wanted to have a dog, you would have to put down a $2000 deposit. Of that deposit, $400 (cleaning deposit)would be non-refundable, unless you completed you lease and bought the truck, then you could get the whole $2000 back. I'm just sayin'!

WOW! They don't like animals in the trucks messing things up! What about my Kids? What age is allowed to go and stuff? What is the procedure? Thanks.

Well I got my new load assignment from Connecticut. Dh 299 miles to New Oxford, Pennsylvania then down to 40 and across to Chinese Park, California for 2932 miles loaded. That is 3231 total miles. Wow!!
I was supposed to go home down to NC but there are no loads headed that way. So they routed me down to I-40 to more friendly JCT running lanes to see if I can make a swap. But for anyone wondering if we got miles here I believe I just proved it.

If I remember correctly, the policy is anyone over 18 years of age and kids under 18 only during times when school is not in session. I think you are allowed up to 2 riders, as long as they can be restrained (I'm sure they mean by seat belts, etc.,not rope or duct tape, lol.). Each rider must be approved by JCT, and will incur a $15.50/month charge for insurance. It's been a while since I set my rider policy up with them, so please double check to make sure. I'd hate to steer you wrong.

If any of you current JCT drivers want it, I have the business card template from Javada. You'll have to pm me and let me know if you want it as a PDF or in it's original .PUB (Microsoft Office Publication File) format. Just ignore the name and truck number on it. You'll be able to change the info as you want.

Sorry, I missed answering this part of your question. You call or message the log dept. and ask to start a rider policy. They will ask you for the rider's info (Name DOB, SS#, and Address). Then they will draw up the rider policy form and email or fax it to you. You will have to sign it, have your rider sign it, and (if applicable) make a copy of the proposed rider's license or ID card...then email or fax them both back to JCT (log dept.). They told us all in orientation (since some folks are more unscrupulous than others) that any riders we get approved to be on the truck, a copy of the rider police will be sent to our home residences. For example, if a driver had a girlfriend or boyfriend out on the road and wanted to have them ride along, but also had a significant other at home, that significant other would find out in a hurry what the driver was up to. Just passin' the info along...lol.

So Sharpp, you've been at this L/P thing a few months. Would you still recommend it? I'm trying to find the last company I'll work for and your opening post rang true with me.Last edited: Sep 19, 2013

I love that sentiment. It is a great company to work with.
loading in Firebaugh Ca with a load headed to Indianapolis In. I will be taking it to the yard in Sapulpa to trans load it onto a standard trailer so I can get this trailer ready for next weeks truck show in Joplin. -
Yeah luvtotruk, my lil buddy Ferguson has been my companion for five years now. He came in the truck as a kitten and loved it, so I kept bringing him. He picked me at a pet rescue, followed me around til I picked him up an he fell asleep in my arms. Im a sucker for animals, plus Im a veteran with ptsd, he really helps me when I get stressed. He goes where I go.
Lady K Thanks this. -
How often does anyone get loads through central IL, like Effingham?
