for comparisons sake, from last Friday at lunchtime to 10 this past Wednesday, I ran 2053 miles, and my settlements for the the loads I ran added up to over 2900 after deductions.
this is why we say l/p is working harder for less money.

Don't see the point inoving, yet again, that Flease operators earn considerably less than true owner operators. Paying more while earning less is always going to have a predictable outcome
This thread was about giving them their own sub forum I thought....

Ah I see where your reading this from, OK I'll give you it!!! However on what you saw after 4 years the figures show only 45% still in Business..

That means approx 1.1 trucking businesses out of every two go belly up within the first four years. Which are probably Owner Operators and Lessors. Although the true number of Lease to Own are probably not included in the figures because they are not a true company. But lack of financing and low mileages are still the main results they don't survive.

it's not about low mileage, it's about low rates. people have to stop thinking miles, and start thinking money. 2k miles at a decent rate is more money than 3k miles at the 1.35 or so mileage pay carriers base their o/o or l/p contracts on.

And yet again you are missing the point. Its not lease op vs owner op. Its what I would make as company vs lease op. I dont know how else to say I do NOT want to own my own truck yet.

They don't realize it yet..... He do not want to own the truck!!! I honestly think the mega carriers know this. They know majority of drivers will not complete the lease. Its a win , win for both sides.
