I have very few issues with gps on the maps on my Verizon phone, but , the only time I use it is to get a block by block when I am close as it is not set for a truck. The satalite pics or handy for find places to park close.

I have had Verizon for YEARS. I have a cell phone with them and a Wifi Hotspot for the truck. They are by no means the cheapest, but they have EXCELENT coverage in almost all the country. Like any cell phone provider, they do have dead spots, but you have to take what you can get. Whatever you do, get a smart phone. the apps on it will save you from hours of boredom when your sitting around waiting to be loaded.

    Thanks

Another vote for straight talk! I have yet to find any place my phone did not work. And, if you do not get a smart phone, the plan is 30 a month, 45 for unlimited data, talk, text for the smartphones. You can reload them straight from the phone. Nobody will beat the coverage.

No need for hotspot either. It is a waste of money when you can just tether your phone to the PC.
