I buy them by the case from Detroit. generics aren't much cheaper than oem.

Fleetgaurd always worked good on my S60. Can't remember the oil filter number... but I do remember the fuel. I ran a FF5206 and a FS1000 water seperator. Coolant filter... it depends on type of antifreeze you have, if the system is equiped with a filter and if your nitrite level needs adjusted. Don't forget to add a gallon or two of Lucas oil.

Detroit diesel recommends there filters than cheaper than truckstops, fuel filters last alot longer.available at most dealerships.........better made for detroit motors.heed this if anything, take your trk to detroit diesel for a checkup, not a freightliner.they build this engine and most of there mechanics cut there teeth on this motor.put the truck on a dyno, will give you alot of info on your motor

I used donaldson, fleetguard, MANN, Valeo and many other brands. And I'd say they are of same quality

Yeah.... Baldwins are a little better than Fleetgaurd. The best of the best are Cat filters, but I guess that doesn't really apply here. Luberfiners aren't bad either. I still stand by putting that water seperator on as a primary filter. Better throttle response in my opinion.
