No, it's not your home. It's JBS's truck. Period. End of story...

Althought, when your talking about the legality, that would depend on the lawyer.

    Ask a mathematician what 1 + 1 is, and he'll tell you 2.
Ask a Lawyer what 1 + 1 is, and he'll ask you "How much do you want it to be"..........

Never the less, that's what JBS is doing. And not enough drivers are standing up against it. Apparently, JBS hire's a bunch of sheep.

I told my buddy to get a huge dildo, (Like 2' long) hang it over his shirtless shoulder, and slam on the breaks hard enough to set the camera off.... And then give the camera the bird.

Me personally, I'd tell JBS to go fly a kite. If they trust you enough to give you the job, they should trust you enough to do your job, without "spying" on you...

Considering that it's very possible that JBS can easily watch you without activating the recording device. You'd never know they're watching you. Total and complete BS. And if the drivers allow this to happen with JBS, other companies will follow suit. And soon, all companies will have camera's in them.

If you don't believe me, just look at the Qual Coms, ELOGS and other things like it.

    I wished I'd have put $5,000 into Qual-com's stock 10years ago.

Sounds like the company is using it to deny safety bonus. Who wears a seat belt while parked?

    hrdman2luv Thanks this.

I never wear my seat belt in a parking lot. As soon as I get off a road, be a shopping center, a shipper/receiver or anywhere else... As soon as I'm off the road, the seat belt comes off. I have stacks on the side of my truck, and have to either lean way out, or step out on the runner to back into a dock or parking spot... Just so I can see better...

I can imagine what JBS would do if I backed into a dock door too hard and wasn't even sitting in my seat... LMAO... Or caught me in the bunk, getting a pepsi, while going down the interstate..(BTW, I never do with when their traffic around me, or a curve coming up.)

Aren't most of the larger carriers? I may be young, but I have had older members of my family tell me about the good old days. I do not think those guys would have stood for such ####. Then again, their actions are part of the reason that we have the regulations that we do these days, so I guess it is what it is. I take the position like so many others on this board, to never work for a company imposing this sort of ####. How does a camera facing the driver increase safety?

as far as it "involving safety" while facing the driver...

I can see their point to an extent.

Hit a bump or hit the dock to hard. That woud be to show you are not distracted.

Get in a wreck. Heck yeah I would want something which would show that I am not on the phone or texting. I would want something which shows that I am doing everything legal when the attorney(s) come after "DEEP POCKETS" in their attempts to get false claims paid.

But to turn it on and see what I am doing at anytime... AH NO. Well maybe if it had an interlock system which only let them do it while the truck was moving above 10 MPH...

It doesn't. It's just a way for them to ding you for not wearing your seat belt in a parking lot.
