We are about to get the Head Gasket changed in a 2004 KCB C-13....
What else should they check/replace/adjust while the head is off.
I have heard the Injector tube O rings for one...
Thanks

My c13 is a2006 Kcb,i spend $850 for the labor ,after the head was in the shop the change, the ,o-rings and sleeves from the injectors and new thermostats

Have them check for bad head bolts. If any of them have erosion starting have them replaced. CAT had a problem with the back head bolts stretching as well. The other thing is to look at the cylinder that the head gasket was leaking at and ensure the liner protrusion is correct.

CAT say's not to reuse head bolts for the c13 get new ones same goes for injector hold down bolts, check the liner protrusion and deck flatness.
