I know. Shame on me.

Actually if someone comes at me with their fists I would consider that an invitation to give them the ole' bear spray.
Tama Mai Hawaii Nei Thanks this. -
ultra your childishness makes me lol! that was actually my first thought when I saw landstar's rip...
I think I'd do one of two things in the situation... laugh in the guys face or from my truck.
lol
Ultra7 Thanks this. -
Did you or your trainer not contact the guardshack at the time it was actually happening ? When someone does that to you are you in the habit of just letting them talk to you that way. In all honesty be a man, get out of the truck and confront him, he can make it physical or non-physical. Don't get in the habit of being treated like this as a truck driver. It takes standing up for yourself in ALL aspects of being a trucker from dispatch to deliveries to this, you're not always right in life but you are also not always going to be wrong either.

@ Busted_Rubber; I usually have a pretty good barometer for when something is or isn't going to turn violent. This guy, who I'm sure wasn't landstar8891, was scoring really high at the time on my gut feeling. I was getting the vibe, that anything that involved me getting out of the truck; would have escalated into a full out brawl. Plus, the next available parking space was right on the other side of this guy's truck, drivers side. So, the one who he feared was going to back into him was on his passenger side and the one he screamed at and threatened ended up on his drivers side. I figured after that, it wasn't safe to leave the truck, so I reported him to the guard shack as we drove up when our number was called. Was about 20 mins after his howling match. I know for a fact, after watching him in the mirror, he got the "How Am I driving Number" from our trailer. Not to worried, as we were parked, not driving, LOL.

Good for you then, in assessing the situation and making the best call for your career and family.Dark Squall and jeepnut_nh Thank this.

You call trucking a ''career''...
Sorry i had too...Trucking is more of an everday burger flipper job anymore...We have the expectations of an Airline Pilot and the pay of a burger flipper...
