accredited school mandatory?

LOL, sometimes I think I'd be better of being a N.Y.C. cabbie or driving a School Bus with 40 or 50 screaming kids.

I was half joking about the entire school thing all over again, but I am betting on a 120 hour refresher (not just 40 hours). It will be boring because I have been driving semis lately on my own, and I do keep up with current D.O.T. stuff.

You're welcome . The subsidy program has been around a while for many industries and big corporations. I'll see if I can find some of the older things I came across when I was researching more after I first heard about it. I'll do that hopefully tomorrow, or in a couple of weeks when I return from my cycling trip. I also need to focus more on that than arguing with some on other threads here. It can be a circus on these things. Misunderstandings, and my overly defensive nature does not help along with being gunshy about forums as it is anyway. But yes, I'll post if I find something. One spacific being the amount of money involved came to me personally from an actual higher-up in this industry who's name and company I will not mention. Trust me, it did come from a very reliable source.

 

That is tough.. when you have been driving trucks and have to go through the training and hoopla..
For me, although I was out with a "trainer".. it was not the best.. I think there were a lot of things I learned.. but, this guy was crazy... He never did a pre-trip.. seriously.. never in the months we were out did he ever do a pre trip.. or even walk around the truck.. unless we were securing or tarping a load.. and he pretty much just faked his logs.. he would fill them out at night.. and just make it look good.. along with all bis other qwerks.. so, for me, I would have a lot I could learn from being back out with a trainer...
