I've seen this shocks at Hiller here in Ontario, they look solid well built, but over 300$ each; for this money you can install front air bags, if you don't have; imop this is one of the best feature of my Volvo 780, comparing with last truck, Volvo 770 ; smooth ride and saves the steer tires.

I've always used to buy Monroe shocks, but the last set lasted around 150k . If I keep this truck till next set is due it will be Volvo shocks

i would go to Volvo shock anytime. the difference is huge. For couple of dollars more you get 3 times more quality. Sachs is Sachs. All the high quality cars from Europe are using them, as a brand. I'd never seen a luxury car equipped with gabriel or monroe. But, what do I know? American brand made in China is the best.

Sorry, but I cannot understand. I'm not so smart. You said "News Flash" and couple of words distance from that you said "couple of years back". So, I 'm a little bit confused here.

I have Volvo 670. Replace all the OEM shocks with that brand gabriel, i don’t know how everyone’s exprience is with those but all i can say piece of s***. The front one start making some noise like knocking after 4-5 months. I was taking my truck to the shop to check it out what is going on but they never looked at the shocks bcs they said they were new . Nevermind i bought OEM Vovlo shocks and i can tell the difference. Im about to change the rear ones and cab shocks all volvo. What you pay is what you get. Have a good day!

I've used many Gabriel Fleetline hydro and their Adjustable GAS.
I can tell you first have that the Volvo/Sachs are no better and much more money than the Fleetline.
Sounds like you had a bad one, everybody gets one dinner or later.

PS I've had Volvo OEM blow up in less than a month before... Defective and covered by Volvo warranty which is nice.

This last set i gave monroe a shot again... Normally i hate Monroe but these have lasted quite well so far.. Longer than OEM and Gabriel hydros ... Pretty crazy.
